Glen Canyon Dam Overlook: A Quick, Spectacular Stop in Page

A short walk down sandstone steps brings you to views of the Colorado River winding between red rock cliffs, with the 710-foot Glen Canyon Dam rising in the distance. It is a quick, scenic stop with excellent photo opportunities and a good look at one of the Southwest’s great engineering feats.
- Address: Overlook Drive, Page, AZ 86040
- Trail: about 0.2 miles round trip, with uneven sandstone steps
- Tip: bring a camera and wear shoes with good traction
It is a natural add-on if you’re visiting Page, Lake Powell or nearby Horseshoe Bend. See also our guide to kayaking Horseshoe Bend from Lee’s Ferry.
