Itinerary for This Group Tour:

You really haven’t see the Canyon that is in all the pictures until you’ve seen it during golden hour! Witness the Canyon in all its glory as the sun dips below the rim. The adventure doesn’t end at dusk; we’ll head home through renowned dark-sky territory, pulling over to take in a star-studded spectacle you’ll never forget (weather permitting or we’ll stop at the IMAX theatre instead of the sky isn’t cooperating).This tour is adjusted through the year for sunset time and weather. It is priced and designed to be 6 hour excursion with a max of 10 people on the tour.

Important Note: Weather conditions are beyond our control, so refunds are not available for cloudy or overcast skies. If stargazing is not possible, we’ll substitute the dark-sky portion of the tour with a visit to the IMAX theater in Tusayan on the return journey. We also make every effort to maximize your Grand Canyon experience by visiting the best viewpoints available and taking advantage of the most beautiful lighting conditions the day provides, regardless of weather.

• 2:00 pm | Departure | Depart with your private group from your Flagstaff or Williams accommodations .
• 3:30 pm | Grand Canyon Village & Historic District | Arrive at the Park gates and head straight to the Grand Canyon Village. Take in your first breathtaking views of the rim, explore the historic El Tovar Hotel, or visit the legendary Kolb Studio. Enjoy this hour to wander the village at your own pace or with your guide. Guides will always be available to ask questions and tell fun local stories!
• 4:30 pm | Mather Point Vista | Head to the Mather Point area to grab a coffee and prepare for a short walk to the rim. Here, you’ll experience the Canyon’s most expansive panoramic views at its widest point.
• 5:00 pm | The East Rim Drive | We’ll navigate the scenic East Rim Drive, winding along the edge of the South Rim. This is a prime corridor for wildlife; keep your eyes peeled for elk, mule deer, and California Condors soaring off the cliffs.
• 6:00 pm | Sunset, Charcuterie & Secret Spots Witness the sunset from our favorite East Rim escarpments. These secluded promontories offer rare river views and a perfect “front-row seat” as the light transforms the Canyon. Your guide will lead you to beautiful spots for epic photos all while serving a signature charcuterie style “light dinner” and refreshments to keep you satisfied until you get back to Flagstaff. • 7:00 pm – 8:00 pm | Return & Stargazing. (Seasonal timing to be expected) |As we drive back to Flagstaff or Williams, the tour will pull off the main road and set up a viewing scope to take in the unparalleled view of the night sky in our world famous “Dark sky” Northern Arizona. The Milky Way is an unforgettable experience to behold! We will point out planets that seem close enough to touch! Constellations and more constellations, not to mention the Native peoples stories of how the lights came to be in the sky. It’s a great finish to a Grand day that you and group is sure to enjoy.
  Your guide will share local favorites and recommendations for the best late-night dinner spots in town to cap off your evening.

Premium Transportation: Travel in our new, 12-passenger transit van, fully outfitted with leather seating, high-roof standing room, and oversized viewing windows for the best views on the road.

Viewing scope provided at each major viewpoint. A few smaller personal binoculars will also be provided and available during the tour.

/ We went as a family of 6 with Wes for a private sunset tour… sooo worth it! They were so accommodating and laid back that we felt like family to them. Wes was incredibly knowledgeable about the area and had us chuckling the whole time while Sarah took time to capture some beautiful moments on our phones (she has an eye for a great shot).
